Senior Lecturer Dr. Vasileios Karagiannopoulos has graduated from Athens Law School (Greece) and has completed an LLM in Information Technology and Telecommunications Law and a PhD in Law at the University of Strathclyde, School of Law. He has taught IT Law, E-commerce Law and Human Rights modules for the University of Strathclyde and the Edinburgh University Law Schools. He is currently employed by Institute of Criminal Justice Studies (ICJS), University of Portsmouth (Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences) as a Senior Lecturer in Socio-Legal Studies (specialized on cybercrime) and as the Chair of the ICJS Ethics Committee. Nowadays his research interests consists of Information technology law and regulation, Crime, punishment and new technologies, Human rights, Regulation theories, Critical criminology, Internet politics and political protest and Intellectual property law.

Professor Dr. Lazaros Vryzidis is the President (Rector) of Piraeus University of Applied Sciences and holds a position of Professor of the Department of Business Administration of Piraeus University of Applied Sciences. He holds his Bachelor on Mathematics from the University of Athens (Greece). He continued his studies and he graduated from the Indicative Master in Informatics and Operations Research at the University of Athens. His Ph.D. thesis is entitled “Teaching Mathematics with Information Technology”, from the University of Athens (Greece). Professor Vryzidis has a very rich and detailed CV. He is quite experienced, apart from teaching and participating to several surveys, on administrative sector as he is the Scientific Director of Postgraduate Studies.

In particular:
– From 2006 onwards he is the Scientific Director of the Postgraduate Program: “Educational Technology and Human Resources Development”, undertaken by the Department of Mathematics and today by the Department of Business Administration of the University of Piraeus, in collaboration with the University of Athens, the Department of Primary Education.
– During the period 2013 – 2014 he was Scientific Director of the Postgraduate Program: “Decision Science with Information Systems”, which is organized and implemented by the Department of Business Administration, of the Piraeus University of Applied Sciences.
– From 2014 onwards, he is the Scientific Director of the Postgraduate Program: “Business Administration (MBA)”’, autonomously implemented by the Department of Business Administration, of the Piraeus University of Applied Sciences
– Also, he has been the Chairman of the Research Committee as Vice President of TEI Piraeus, served as the first Chairman of the Committee since the establishment of the Special Account 21.12.1988 to 31.8.1989.

His scientific interests have to do with information technology and its use on media as well as financial aspects of the use of internet and technology, especially in terms of business administration.
His experience throughout the years and his advice will help the research group to focus on the crucial concepts of the survey. Moreover, Professor L. Vryzidis will be very helpful on organizing all the steps of the proposal in order achieve the best outcome according to the time schedule.
